  • $3,712.50 per semester for a traditional double room with air conditioning (default used for Cost of Attendance and Financial Aid calculations).
  • Room amounts vary from $3,061.50 per semester up to $4,817.50 per semester based upon amenities and occupancy. A surcharge may apply for such items as a single room, a room with air conditioning, room with private bath. International Student Fee

Effective Fall 2017, the University of Maryland (UMD) will charge a fee of $125 per semester for all newly enrolled students requiring an I-20/DS-2019 issued by the University. Students  enrolled in an academic program operating on the 12-week calendar, who require an I-20/DS-2019 issued by the University will be charged a fee of $62.50 per term. UMD will use the revenue from this fee to enhance support for our international students to include improved academic support, expanded assistance for students transitioning to the U.S. and international student-focused cultural events to foster an engaged, supportive community.

Fee for Additional Preparation in Mathematics

A fee of $280 is required of students whose curriculum calls for MATH110 or MATH115 and who do not pass the qualifying examination for these courses. This Special Math Fee is in addition to course charge (MATH003MATH010MATH011MATH013 AND MATH015). Students enrolled in this course and concurrently enrolled for nine or more credit hours will be considered as full-time students for purposes of assessing fees.
